Seven Sister States Will Open Lesser Seen World Gates..

India is a land with different kinds of topography, landscapes, specialties, cultures and people but what remains common is the fact that beauty is spread in every tiny corner which is simply inviting and mystifying. You enter any part of the country and the experience you gather is simply unique and incredible. However, there are several regions not many of us have fully explored partly due to lesser information or due to some external factor which hinder the entry. North Eastern India which comprises of seven States which are popularly known as Seven Virgin Sister States is a classical example regarding lesser exploration. The term virgin is simply and aptly used due to the sole reason as the boundless beauty scattered in dense woods, peaks, gardens, waterfalls, shrines and cultures is somewhat hidden. Not many travelers attempt to enter the world of yet-to-be-fully-discovered beautiful lands due to insurgency issues but what we actually view on television is an exaggerated version. Undoubtedly, there is a state of some unrest in some pockets of North Eastern region but that does not make it an unsafe place to travel. On the contrary, the destinations are quite secured and highly appealing for travelers where they may add several novel dimensions to their personal travelogue. There are myriad destinations which may be visited while in North Eastern India but some of the primary locations are Darjeeling, Gangtok, Shillong, Pelling, Kaziranga National Park and Tawang. Kindly do not create an impression that these are the only places that you may explore while on North Eastern India trip. Many more places may be travelled depending upon the time duration of the stay.

Talking of Darjeeling, it is a beautiful and tiny North East India hill station from where you may not only view Kanchenjunga peak but have many other places worth visiting. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute which is an ideal institute for trekkers and trekking aspirants, Darjeeling Zoo, Tiger Hill from where you may get a spectacular view of Eastern Himalayan range, Batasia Loop, Ropeway which is also known Rangeet Valley Passenger Cable Car, Rock Garden, Ganga Maya Park, Mahakal Temple, Monasteries,  Chowrasta Mall, Bengal Natural History Museum are must visit places which cannot be left out when in North East. If you have a strong inclination towards mixture of adventure and inquisitiveness to learn more about prevailing cultures, Gangtok shall be visited for certain. You may travel to Nathu La, Hanuman Tok, Rumtek Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery, Phodong, Khecheopalri Lake, Ranka Monastery, Tsomgo Lake, Banjhakri Falls, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Gonjang Monastery. The monasteries are simply beautiful and truly sacred, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology touches upon different facets of Tibetan culture, values and tradition adding cultural tour touch, the lake and waterfalls are haven for different varieties of fish, aquatic animals and flora and the view all around is nothing short of incredible.

The similar kind of experience is added when you are in Shillong. You may explore Umium Lake, Elephant Falls, Ward’s Lake, Shillong View Point, Mawjymbuin Cave, Lumpongdeng Island, David Scott Trail, Sweet Falls and Butterfly Museum respectively. Pelling is another splendid destination in Sikkim where you may travel to Kanchendzong waterfalls, Khecheopari Lake, Rimbi Waterfalls, Rabdentse Palace ruins, Phamrong waterfalls, Dubdi Monastery, Singshore Bridge and Darap Cherry Village. Moving towards another incredible State, Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh has a great deal to offer in form of Sela Pass, Tawang Monastery, Taktsang Gompa, Gorichen Peak, Shonga-tser Lake, Nuranang Waterfalls, Pankang Teng Tso Lake, Bumla Pass, Jaswant Garh and Bap Teng Kang Waterfalls. All these destinations will satiate will appetite for viewing scenic beauty and experiencing waves of adventure.

If you are wildlife lover and intend to turn it into wildlife tour, you may have an opportunity to visit several National Parks namely Kaziranga National Park which is famous for one-horned rhinoceros, Orang National Park, Pobitora National Park, Manas National Park and Nameri National Park.

If you seek to have meaningful travelling, do add North Eastern part of India in your itinerary without which your journey will remain incomplete..!
