Plan Perfect-Whether For Holy Dip Or Adventurous Bit..

The visit to places of religious importance has gained grounds for last one decade. It is not that people do not use to travel to religious sites or undertake pilgrimage tours before that but the existing amenities have undergone much improvement and refinement and several abodes have come up which offer a great and comfortable stay. When we talk of India, tourists, both domestic and foreigners do prefer visiting range of places which carry enough significance to satiate religious devotion and have significance attached, either mythological or historical. When we discuss about such places, the list is exhaustive and geographically diverse but a few names are such which every soul is aware of and majority seek to visit them atleast once in their lifetime. While I am writing about such religious places and inclination in the hearts of several which is strong beyond imagination, the names of Haridwar and Rishikesh are placed in the list at prominent positions and majority of travelers from all over the country and globe keep these two names in their itinerary for certain. Both these cities are truly beautiful due to the shrines all around, ashrams in every corner and most importantly, you may experience divinity in every inch. These places provide incredible level of peace of mind and wisdom in thoughts amidst the picturesque beauty of Mother Nature. The most interesting part of travelling to these places is that these places are not only meant for elderly people or those with religious inclination but none may feel lost irrespective of any age as the places have a great deal to offer and the air that envelopes these places itself is magical and magnetic.

Well, talking of the places worth sighting at Rishikesh, you may visit Triveni Ghat to take a holy dip in river Ganges, Bharat Mandir built by Adi Shankaracharya, Rishikund, Ram Jhula, Lakshman Jhula, Swarga Ashram which is cluster of ashrams on the eastern bank of river Ganges where you may undertake several courses related to yogic practices and spiritual studies and Gita Bhavan respectively. Well, when we are discussing about Rishikesh, you would not like to miss the thrill and excitement induced by white water rafting and other adventure-related activities which may turn your trip into action-packed vacation. Moving to the sacred territory of Haridwar, you shall attend globally acclaimed Khumbh Mela, the largest congregation of pilgrims that takes place once in twelve years and lasts for forty days. In addition to this, you may visit Daksheshwara Mahadev Temple, Maa Anandamoyi Ashram, Doodhadhari Barfani Shrine, Sureshvari Devi Temple, Pawan Dham, Bharat Mata Mandir, Jairam Ashram, Sapt Sarovar and Parad Shivlinga. Each place at both the locations has its own charisma and importance and the time here simply flies by observing the level of devotion of pilgrims and tourists reaching from every nook and cranny and meeting saints filled with knowledge and influence, simply boundless.

So, next time when you plan a holiday and seek to add traces of incredible shades and flavor, must add Haridwar and Rishikesh in the list of places to visit.

Thank you for your informative post on Haridwar with a beautiful picture. Haridwar is regarded as one of the seven holiest places (Sapta Puri) to Hindus and can be easily reached from Delhi. It is an ancient city in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand.
