Bodhgaya:- Bodhgaya is located in Bihar, approx. 96km away from state capital Patna. The Mahabodhi Vihar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bodh Gaya is the place where the Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. The Bodhi tree at Bodhgaya is directly associated to the life of Gautam Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, who attained enlightenment or perfect insight when he was meditating under Bodhi tree. The temple was built straight to the east of the Bodhi tree which is supposed to be a direct inheritor of the unique Bodhi Tree. Many tourists visit Mahabodhi temple throughout the year from all over the world. It is the favourite pilgrimage site for Lord Buddha’s devotees.
Rajgir:- Rajgir is the complex of temples and monasteries. This small city of Bihar is one of the most important and admired tourist places in India. Rajgir is a very scenic place as located in a valley. The small town surrounded by hills is sheltered with lush green forest which makes this place more beautiful. Rajgir or Rajgrih be a sign of the abode of Royalty. This place has been connected with Lord Buddha and Buddhism. Gautam Buddha spent many years in Rajgir and gave sermons here. The Jivekarmavan monastery was the favourite residence for Buddha. Even Bimbisar gave Venuvan Vihar to Buddha for his dwelling.
The teaching of Buddha was executed at Rajgir and it was also the place for the first Buddhist assembly. Today Rajgir has come up as one of the major significant pilgrimage for the Buddhist. Rajgir also has many beautiful Hindu and Jain temples which attract Hindus and Jains followers. Not only as a pilgrimage site, Rajgir has come up as health and winter resort because of its warm water ponds. These ponds are supposed to contain some medicinal elements which help in healing of many skin diseases. The additional attraction of Rajgir is the Ropeway which takes tourists uphill to the Shanti Stupa and Monasteries built by the Japanese disciples on top of the Ratnagiri hills.
Varanasi:- Varanasi is one of the holy cities of India. Varanasi is located in Uttar Pradesh. It is also popular by the name of Kashi and Banaras. As per Hindu mythology this is the city of “Moksha” ( the freedom from the cycle of death and rebirth ). A per Hinduism it is said that those who die and are cremated here find an instant doorway to liberation from the rotation of death and re-births. Varanasi is famous as the city of temples that’s why it is popular pilgrimage site. Varanasi is more than 3000 years old; it is the oldest city of the world. Varanasi is situated on bank of holy Ganga river. The Ganga Ghats (river front) are the most admired pilgrimage sight of Varanasi and are hubs of music and learning.

After Breakfast full day city tour of bodhgaya. Visit Sujata Village, Niranjana river & various International monasteries. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast at hotel later excursion to Rajgir (102 kms), Rajgir is a site of great Sanctity and significance for Buddhists. Afternoon visit Gridhkutta Hill, Bimbisar jail & Ajatashatru's Fort. After lunch drive to Nalanda, (12 kms). It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International Centre for Buddist Studies. Nalanda was one of the greatest monastic universities of the ancient world University established in 5th century BC. It is believed that Lord Buddha and also the founder of Jainism religion Lord Mahavir taught at this university for years. There is even a monument to facilitate Chinese traveler monk and writer Hiuen Tsang who studied at this university in the 7th century A.D. After visit drive back to Bodhgaya. Overnight at hotel.
After Breakfast leave Bodhgaya for Varanasi by surface (250 kms / 7 hrs). Varanasi is famous for Hindus and Buddhists as its close proximity to Sarnath. Arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Sarnath (14 kms), Visit Dhamekha Stupa and Deer park. Later Back to Varanasi. Overnight at hotel.
Early morning boat excursion on the river Ganges, a ferry pilgrimage from ghat to ghat. People bathe early in the morning to offer the prayers to the rising sun. Come back to hotel for breakfast. Later sightseeing tour of the city including the Bharat Mata Temple with a big relief map of India in marble, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Mandir, Banaras Hindu University which has an Art Gallery and the Mosque of Mughul Emperor Aurangazeb built on the site of an ancient Hindu Temple. Evening transfer to Varanasi airport to connect the flight for onward destination.
