Manali :- Manali, at the northern end of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, is a hill station situated at a height of 2050m (6398 ft) in the Himalayas. The landscape here is breath taking. One sees well-defined snow capped peaks. Situated on the Beas river (Vyaas in Hindi) and near its source, it is a popular tourist spot for Indians in summer and a magical, snow-covered place in winter. A staging point for a number of treks (Beas Kund, Chandrakhani Pass) and sports such as white-water rafting, Manali is also on the road to Ladakh via the valley of Lahaul and Spiti and rohtang pass which is main attraction near Manali.
Places Of Interest :- Hidimba Devi Temple, Club House, Tibetan monastery, Manu Maharishi Temple, Mall Road, Hot water spring vashishth, Rohtang pass, Solang Valley, Nehru Kund, Kothi, Gulaba, Rahalla Falls, Marhi And Rani Nala.
Leh :- Few places in India are at once so traveller-friendly and yet so enchanting and hassle-free as mountain-framed Leh. Dotted with stupas and crumbling mud-brick houses, the Old Town is dominated by a dagger of steep rocky ridge topped by an imposing Tibetan-style palace and fort. Topographically, the whole of the district is mountainous with three parallel ranges of the Himalayas, the Zanskar, the Ladakh and the Karakoram. Between these ranges, the Shayok, Indus and Zanskar rivers flow and most of the population lives in valleys of these rivers.
Leh’s a place that’s all too easy to fall in love with, but take things easy on arrival. The altitude means that most visitors initially suffer mild headaches and breathlessness. To prevent this becoming full-blown Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), drink plenty of ginger tea and avoid strenuous exertion at first. Climbing Palace Ridge or Shanti Stupa on your first two days in Leh is unwise unless you’re already altitude-acclimatised. Similarly it’s wise to wait before trekking or taking jeep excursions over high passes (to Nubra or Pangong).
Places Of Interest :- Nubra Valley, Namgyal Tsemo Monastery, Thiksay Monastery, Shanti Stupa, Stok Monastery, Leh Palace, Magnet Hill, Sankar Monastery
Srinagar :- Considered as a heaven on earth and enclosed by high snow capped ridges of the Pir Panjal range to the west and south, and the main Himalayan range to the east is the picturesque Kashmir valley with predominantly Muslim population, History of which dates back to 14th Century. Few places in the world have so often been described as paradise as Kashmir. The words of Mughal Emperor Jahangir have been repeated down centuries by travellers enchanted with this fairy tale of mirror like lakes, tumbling rivers and verdant meadows.
Srinagar is the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is situated in the Kashmir Valley and lies on the banks of the Jhelum River, a tributary of the Indus. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dry fruits. Srinagar is one of several places that has been called the “Venice of the East” or the “Kashmiri Venice”. It is known for its lakes, which include Dal Lake – noted for its houseboats.
Places Of Interest :- Dal Lake, Nishant Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Char Chinar, Tulip Garden
