The city has a rich history, spanning nearly 2000 years, as inferred from inscriptions found in the valley. Religious and cultural festivities form a major part of the lives of people residing in Kathmandu. Most of Kathmandu's people follow Hinduism and many others follow Buddhism. The city of Kathmandu is named after Kasthamandap temple, that stood in Durbar Square. This temple, also known as Maru Satal (in ″Newar language″), was built in 1596 by King Laxmi Narsingh Malla. 

According to legend, all the timber used to build the pagoda was obtained from a single tree. The structure unfortunately collapsed during the major earthquake in April 2015. Tourism is considered another important industry in Nepal.

Nagarkot :- Nagarkot is a village and Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone. At the time of the 2011 census it had a population of 4571 and had 973 houses in it. At an elevation of 2,195 meters, it is considered one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur District. It is known for a sunrise view of the Himalayas including Mount Everest as well as other peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal. Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The picturesque beauty of the place makes it a very popular mountaineering route for tourists. It is located approximately 7000 ft (2000 m) above sea level and 28 km from Kathmandu International Airport.

Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley (8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal out of 13 from here). The ranges include Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range,Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest range) and Numbur range with views of the Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park. Many visitors prefer to visit Nagarkot in the spring when surrounding valleys break out in a rich kaleidoscope of different coloured flowers. The flowers are beautiful against the serene backdrop of the snow-covered mountains. Ever popular among the tourists are the short treks and picnics which Nagarkot offers. Treks from Nagarkot are unique and delightful. For anyone who wants to have an adventure without exerting much efforts, a hike to Nagarkot's surrounding areas would be a good option. One can traverse short distances on trekking trails and come close to nature's wonders such as the outer of verdant forests, flower-covered meadows and unusual rock formations.

Places of Interest :- Nagarkot known for mini-trekking. There are several treks possible to and from Nagarkot such as sankhu, changu Narayan, Dhulikhel, Sundarijal, Nala, etc. It is the transit point for Helambu and Lang-tang trekking.

Day 1: On Arrival At Kathmandu Drive To Nagarkot

Meet & greets with our local guide Transfer to Nagorkot hotel, enjoy sunset & overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Drive From Nagarkot To Kathmandu Via Bhaktapur Ancient City

Enjoy Sunrise view over the Himalaya and Breakfast Served. After breakfast Checkout from Hotel to continue to Kathmandu city tour.Arrive Kathmandu & check in at your hotel . Overnight stay in Kathmandu Hotel

Day 3: Kathmandu City Sightseeing

Breakfast at hotel/ Enjoy half day sightseeing including Major Sites of Kathmandu Valley• Overnight stay at hotel in Kathmandu. Optional: Mt, Everest Flight by early Morning and Casino Visit by the evening.

Day 4: Departure

Breakfast Served. Short Shopping tour around Thamel by Walk. Check out from the hotel & proceed to Kathmandu Airport or Onward destination with sweet memories of your holiday. We will wait for you again and promise to deliver dreams to destinations. Tour ends... Sweet memories remain!
